Over the past four years, the Epic Center recreational facility in Williamsville, NY has hosted the “KanJam League” on their indoor field. KanJam is a flying disc game created and produced entirely in Western New York. The game features two cylindrical cans and a flying disc. Teams take turns throwing and deflecting the disc at or into the goal to score points. The game is exploding as the next big phenomenon and continues to spark the interest from people of all ages around the country.
The KanJam League is held during the winter season starting in November, and provides the opportunity for people in the community to play this game, have fun, and get exercise. In addition to the KanJam banner that is displayed each week, full size logos for the businesses that sponsor the league are also displayed. The Epic Center draws over 400,000 people annually to their facility. Because of the growing popularity of this game, KanJam attract many participants and even more spectators. There are a number of different leagues that take place at the same time as the KanJam League, allowing for plenty of publicity in a prominent, centralized location within the facility.
Unlike other sponsored events which last for just one day, the KanJam League is held for 11 weeks for 2.5 hours, giving a much larger opportunity to promote sponsoring businesses and organizations.
