WEEKLY RESULTS
2009-2010 Season (Buffalo, NY League)
WEEK 9 - 2/27/10
SUMMARY:
Josh Greenauer & Dan Klavoon finished in a tie at 13-3 with Scott Silverman & Eric Klavoon, setting up a shootout for first place. Josh & Dan scored more points in the shootout to place first in Week 9.
In another tie, three teams finished with a record of 10-6 for a 3rd place battle. Since they also split their games in head-to-head play, a three-way shootout was held to determine placement. LeeAnn Greenauer & Mike Andrews scored the most points to take 3rd place. Kim Daugherty & Dana Misenheimer and Tara Woods & Bob Greenauer each finished with the same amount of points after the three-round shootout, resulting in another "sudden death" round. Kim & Dana threw double buckets to land the 4th place spot ahead of Tara & Bob.
Five teams managed perfect games in Week 9, with Scott Silverman & Eric Klavoon leading the pack. In their first pair-up in 4+ seasons, Scott & Eric tied a league record with 5 perfect games on the night. Josh & Dan shot three perfect games and Kim & Dana tossed two. Both LeeAnn & Mike and Tara & Bob finished with one perfect game a piece.
With another four overtime games played and two overtime wins, Phil Schneider sets the single season record for these categories, still with two weeks left. Eric Klavoon also becomes the first player to reach 100 wins in all five seasons of the league. Bob Greenauer is currently at 99 wins and Josh Greenauer is at 95 wins to join that club as well. With two remaining weeks, Eric also needs just two perfect games to break the single season record (18) set by Bob Greenauer in the 2007-2008 season.
Two instant wins were thrown in Week 9; one by Dana Miseheimer and another by Dave Czosnyka. They join the list of 11 other players to throw an instant win this season.
Since there are just two league nights left this season, drop weeks have been included in the overall standings. All stats and categories are still included; however, each player has their worst week of points "dropped" from the overalll standings. Eric Klavoon still retains the number one spot overall at 178 points. Just four points separate Phil Schneider, Josh Greenauer, and Bob Greenauer for second place. Having great finishes in Week 9, Scott Silverman and Dan Klavoon move up into a mix of teams vying for the 5th place spot. Currently, Dana Misenheimer holds this spot at 136 points, ahead of Scott (133), Dan (131), LeeAnn (130), and Kim (128).
