WEEK 5 - 1/2/10
SUMMARY:
Finishing at 13-3, Phil Schneider & Dan Klavoon take first place. This marks the second first place finish this season for Phil.
For the second week in a row, two teams finished in a tie for second place. Eric Klavoon & Josh Tonn and Bob Greenauer & Bob Bowers both finished 12-4. With a smaller number of teams in Week 5, their 3-game set against each other determined the tiebreaker. Eric & Josh won the series 2-1 to take the second place position.
No instant wins were thrown in Week 5, which is the first time this occurred all season. However, 5 teams posted at least one perfect game. Leading the pack was Eric Klavoon & Josh Tonn with 3 perfect games. Bob Greenauer & Bob Bowers and Emily Bryant & Josh Greenauer tossed 2 perfect games, while Joe Smith & Adam Williams and Kim Daugherty & Dana Misenheimer threw one perfect game.
Adam Williams and Kim Daugherty competed in a shootout for the second straight week, this time on separate teams. Kim & Dana won the shootout to take 6th place.
In the overall standings, Phil Schneider trails Eric Klavoon by just two points. Also, two other positions in the top ten are tied in points (currently decided by overall record) - for 4th place, Josh Greenauer and LeeAnn Greenauer (88 points); for 7th place, Kim Daugherty and Josh Tonn (83 points).
